Marilyn is a member of Sheldrick & Co. and has extensive experience as a corporate, transactional and restructuring attorney.
For more than 25 years, Marilyn has represented clients ranging from public companies, private equity firms, and commercial and investment banks to start-up and distressed companies. During her career she has advised domestic and international clients on mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, in and out of court financial restructurings, recapitalizations, structured, asset based, and acquisition finance, construction, equipment and aircraft leasing, high yield debt, private placement, private equity, venture capital and corporate trust transactions, corporate governance issues and securities law compliance.
Her industry experience includes consumer products, real estate, restaurant, retail, manufacturing, telecommunications, mutual funds, energy, media, health products and services, real estate and security.
Prior to joining Sheldrick & Co., Marilyn served as a director of a public company where she chaired the nominating and corporate governance committee and served on the audit and compensation committees. Before that, she worked at a major New York law firm in the corporate department and a large international law firm in the construction and government contracts and corporate departments.
Marilyn graduated from New York University in 1980 and earned her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 1984. She is admitted to practice before the bar of the State of New York.
