Andrew is a member of the firm, with 30 years experience in corporate, tax and transactional matters.
Before founding the firm he served as General Counsel to a U.S. public company, responsible for completing several major brand acquisitions and financing transactions, and for public company reporting and compliance issues. Prior to that, he was a partner in a national law firm advising on corporate and transactional matters and responsible for the firm’s Latin American and trade practices. He also advised domestic and foreign clients on U.S. export regulation, antidumping and countervailing duty matters.
Andrew began his career in a New York law firm specializing in international tax and financial transactions, representing major multinational corporations, banks and government intuitions in a variety of Eurobond, structured finance and cross-border lease transactions. During his career he has represented clients in traditional manufacturing areas, including the iron ore, steel, aluminum, ferro-silicon, industrial ceramics, automotive and wood pulp sectors, as well as Internet and consumer products. His clients have included manufacturers, financial institutions, private equity funds and government institutions, both within and outside the United States.
Throughout his career, Andrew has maintained a particular focus on the Latin American market, including in particular Brasil, Argentina, Mexico, Chile and Venezuela, advising both U.S. and overseas clients on inbound and outbound transactions. His clients have included the Central Bank of Brasil, as well as major state-owned and private sector multi-national enterprises.
Andrew has authored books and articles, and has been a frequent speaker, on corporate, tax and trade matters. He holds an M.A. in Law from Cambridge University, England and a Masters in Comparative Law from the George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
He is admitted to practice law in New York and England.
